About Athens Jiu Jitsu

Athens Jiu Jitsu is a no-gi jiu-jitsu gym in Athens, Alabama, founded and headed by Zeke Kelley, who has trained since 2011 and spent over a decade competing and coaching. Adults train mornings and evenings six days a week with a Friday fundamentals class, two Muay Thai sessions, a Saturday morning block and a Sunday 'Jesus & Jiu-Jitsu' session; kids train weekday afternoons on a bead progression system, and because the programme is no-gi they can start in ordinary athletic clothing with no uniform to buy. The school also runs self-defense workshops and open mat sessions, and its four coaches bring wrestling, judo and Muay Thai backgrounds alongside jiu-jitsu.
