About Gracie Barra Huntsville
Gracie Barra Huntsville teaches the Gracie Barra curriculum in Huntsville, Alabama under the motto Brotherhood, Integrity, Development, with adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a GBK kids programme, a competition jiu-jitsu class, women's-only self-defense classes and private training. It is led by Professors Jimmie Lowrie, who has trained jiu-jitsu for over ten years, and Helen Arruda, a Brazilian black belt from the south of Brazil who started training in Houston in 2012 and was taken from white to black belt by Professor Vinicius; Professor Kaliffa Oliveira, training since 1998, a BJJ black belt since 2013 and also a judo black belt, is on the staff.
