About Chuan Fa America-Arkansas
Chuan Fa America Arkansas is a non-profit martial arts school at 2771 S Brink Drive in Fayetteville teaching Kenpo karate with a focus on realistic self-defense for men, women and children from age 3, alongside body conditioning, sparring without pads, cardio and flexibility work. Every class is free — the school runs on a "pay it forward" basis — and it trains Wednesday and Thursday 6-8 pm and Saturday 9-11 am. It is run by owner-instructor Sensei Shawn Wilson, a 6th-degree black belt promoted in 2021 and a 2017 Kenpo Hall of Fame inductee, under Grand Master John P. Nieto, the 10th-degree president of Chuan Fa America. Its long-term project, Project Zen, aims to build a free public martial arts and East Asian culture centre in Fayetteville.
