About Missing Link MMA
Missing Link MMA in Fresno, California teaches Kajukenbo (Emperado True Method), Cabales Serrada Escrima and Combat Kickboxing, with a Saturday Kaju Cardio open-gym session. Despite the name, its curriculum is Hawaiian hybrid martial arts and Filipino weapons work — stick, blade and improvised weapons — rather than sport MMA, and it presents itself as a school for realistic street self-defense. It is run by Sifu Art Hugues, a former US Army 7th Special Forces Group soldier who trained in Eskrima directly under Grandmaster Ramiro Estalilla Jr and in the Cabales Serrada system under Grandmaster J.C. Cabiero.
