About Resilience Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy

Resilience Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy was opened in Visalia, California in February 2018 by Professor Josh Bowling, who began training in August 2003 and earned his black belt in 2016 under Professor Mauricio 'Tinguinha' Mariano, taking his second degree in 2022. Bowling has trained and competed internationally including two trips to Brazil and judo training in Romania alongside members of the Romanian judo team, and spent twenty years in law enforcement, finishing as lead instructor at the Fresno Police Department's Regional Training Center.
