About Colorado Victory MMA

Victory MMA is a 15,000 sq ft martial arts facility in Colorado Springs with a 20x20 boxing ring, a 24x24 MMA cage, 14 heavy bags and six aqua bags, teaching wrestling, boxing, Muay Thai kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA. It was founded in 2009 by Gilbert Smith Jr, a US Army veteran and professional MMA fighter (13-6) who competed on two seasons of The Ultimate Fighter and fought in Bellator and the UFC, won the 2015 RFA 170lb title, studied BJJ under Marcelo Garcia in New York and holds a first-degree black belt under Professor Iako Kalili; he is also a Master Toddy-certified Muay Thai instructor. Six more coaches cover boxing, women's boxing, MMA fundamentals, BJJ fundamentals and conditioning. The gym is veteran-owned, discounts registration for military and law enforcement, registered with the IBJJF and USBJJF, and keeps pro-fighter training as a separate invite-only session so that every class on the public schedule is open to all members.
