About Bashta's Martial Arts

Bashta's Martial Arts at 55 Connolly Parkway in Hamden, Connecticut teaches a blended traditional and contemporary curriculum built on Tae Kwon Do forms, kickboxing and self-defense, across Tiny Toros for ages 3-6, youth martial arts for 7-11 and adult classes from 12 up, plus bully-prevention seminars, board breaking, private lessons and birthday parties. It is co-owned and co-led by John "Junior" Bashta Jr., a 6th-degree black belt with over thirty years of experience, six state titles, two national titles and more than 200 tournaments, and John Bashta Sr., a 5th-degree black belt with 35+ years in law enforcement and security who has taught rape prevention programmes and specialises in restraint and takedown techniques.
