About Plus One Defense Systems

Plus One Defense Systems is a 9,000 sq ft multi-style academy in West Hartford, CT with an MMA cage, boxing ring, two floors of mat space and a fitness centre. Alongside Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in gi and no-gi it teaches Muay Thai kickboxing, Krav Maga, Kung Fu, Karate/Kenpo, Aikido and Jujutsu, Capoeira, Silat, Sho Biyn Ju, Taekwondo, boxing and MMA, with junior (5-8), youth (8-13) and adult tracks. It is led by Kyoshi Darin Reisler, a 3rd degree BJJ black belt recognised as a Professor by the IBJJF and the author of two best-selling BJJ books, and its BJJ lineage runs through Mestre Marcus Aurelio (Carlson Gracie lineage), the PRIDE champion who holds the record for the fastest submission in UFC history.
