About Mattix Academy
Mattix Academy is a BJJ school at 4301 S Flamingo Rd #103, Davie, FL 33330, founded in 2015 by Head Instructor Ricky Semiglia, a black belt with a fundamentals-focused teaching philosophy (Connection, Timing, Weight Distribution). Adult programs include gi and no-gi fundamentals and advanced classes with live sparring. Kids programs: Mini Mattix (ages 5–9, Tue/Thu 4–4:50pm) and Mega Mattix (ages 9–14, Mon–Fri 5–6pm). Open mats run Friday 6pm (members + blue belt+ visitors), Saturday 8am (Gi open mat), and Sunday 6pm. Visitors from other gyms welcome with waiver.
