Jacksonville Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is Master Luiz Palhares's academy on San Jose Boulevard in Jacksonville, Florida, teaching Gracie Jiu-Jitsu alongside judo, boxing, Muay Thai and wrestling, and running as a BJJ and self-defense school since 2008. Palhares is an 8th-degree red-and-white belt, a certified U.S. Army combatives instructor who helped build a BJJ-based combatives program at the Navy SEALs facility at Dam Neck, ran a five-month program for 3rd Battalion, 20th Special Forces Group at Camp Blanding in 2010, and has taught defensive tactics to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
