About Kahala Jiu Jitsu
Kahala Jiu-Jitsu is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu academy at 1215 Center Street in the Kaimuki district of Honolulu, an affiliate of Impact Jiu-Jitsu and, by its own account, Hawai'i's only female-owned and operated BJJ academy. Classes are banded by age -- preschool (3-5), kids (6-8), pre-teens (9-11), teens (12-17, gi and no-gi), adults (16+) and a family class open from age 3 -- with an emphasis on training respectfully and technically for all levels. It also runs self-defence birthday parties for kids and adults and four kids camps, including a Hawai'i Biz Kids entrepreneurship camp and a survival camp.
