About Martial Arts Academy
The Martial Arts Academy is an 11,000 sq ft family-owned school at 420 Whittier St in Idaho Falls, Idaho, with its own pro shop. Its primary art is Kung Fu San Soo, taught by Grand Master Ken Hensley, with kids classes on Mondays and Wednesdays and adult Kung Fu on Monday and Wednesday evenings. It also teaches Checkmat Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as an affiliate of The Base Jiu Jitsu, with kids jiu-jitsu on Tuesdays and Thursdays and a Checkmat competitive team. A TASMA transported after-school program collects children from school and trains them Monday to Friday, and is the only such service run by an Idaho martial arts school.
