About The JiuJitsu Academy
The JiuJitsu Academy in Evansville, Indiana is owned and led by Professor Bruce Shepherd, a 5th degree IBJJF black belt with over 30 years in the sport whose lineage traces to Marcelo Ferreira and Francisco Mansor. Classes cover Basic BJJ, Competition BJJ, an intermediate and advanced track, judo focused on stand-up and takedowns, and kids programs starting at age 3 (Pre-K for 3-5, Jr. BJJ for 6-13), alongside private and group lessons. The facility has two training areas on Zebra mats, locker rooms and showers, a gladiator wall and an on-site pro shop.
