Stockman Jiu-Jitsu is a Carlson Gracie affiliate in Greenwood, Indiana, opened in 2011 by Alan Stockman in the same year he earned his black belt. Stockman began training under Luiz Filho in Fortaleza, Brazil in 1997 and lived and competed there for nearly four years; he is now a 4th-degree black belt with a lineage running Mitsuyo Maeda to Carlos Gracie to Carlson Gracie Sr to Carlson Gracie Jr. The academy runs adult white belt, fundamentals, advanced, women's and no-gi classes, kids programmes banded 5-8 and 9-14, adult-only open mats twice a week, private lessons and a Muay Thai striking lab.
