Aplomb Martial Arts Prairie Village is a dojo at 8227 Corinth Mall in Prairie Village, Kansas, one of six in a Kansas City Kempo franchise created in 2020 by Glen and Janell Bartlett. It teaches 'Aplomb Kempo', the franchise's own system drawing on karate, Kempo, Shaolin kung fu, western boxing, jiu-jitsu and Chin Na grappling and tai chi, in adult, young adult and kids tracks, and pairs weekly group classes with a personal one-to-one lesson. Extra styles offered across the franchise include tai chi, combat wrestling, cardio kickboxing and self-defense. Sensei Emily Ekvall is the chief instructor here.
