About Moore's Martial Arts Academy
Moore's Martial Arts Academy is a traditional Shorin-ryu karate school in Topeka, Kansas, established in 1995 and formerly known as Midwest Martial Arts. It is led by Master Ronnie Moore, founder of the Southwind Shorin-ryu and fourth in the succession of a lineage beginning with Sensei Shoshin Nagamine, the founder of Matsubayashi-ryu Shorin-ryu; he has trained for 50+ years and taught for 40+, including at Washburn University. The academy describes itself as a professional black belt school and runs youth, adult, family and women's self-defense programmes built around traditional karate-do.
