About North Shore Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy
North Shore Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy has served Salem and the Massachusetts North Shore for over twenty years, owned and led by Danny Morera, a fourth-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under coral belt Master Roberto Maia of Boston Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Angela Morera, a black belt who directs the academy's programmes and operations. Children train in three structured age bands — Tiny Champs (4-6), Jr's Jiu-Jitsu (7-9) and Youth Leadership (10-14) — with mat chats, bully prevention and leadership development built into the curriculum, while the adult programme is aimed at committed students including parents training alongside their children and women seeking realistic self-defence. The academy is explicit that it teaches jiu-jitsu as a traditional martial art rather than only a sport, and all training starts with a trial request so students can be placed properly.
