About Royce Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy
Royce Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy Shakopee is the only certified Royce Gracie affiliate gym in Minnesota, teaching Royce Gracie's RGJJ 360 self-defense curriculum alongside the 753 warrior code and Gracie Diet teachings. It began in 2020 when John King and Winona Wabasha started training friends and family at home, and opened as a public gym in 2021; King earned his black belt directly from Royce Gracie in 2023, the first in the state. Classes run as RGJJ 360 Jr Warriors (ages 5-7 and 8-12), RGJJ 360 Adults & Teens at Level 1, Level 2 and Review & Roll, plus kickboxing, sparring, and the UFIT, Fight Fit and Fam Fit group fitness programmes.
