Las Vegas is the West Coast's premier BJJ competition hub, a designation earned not by population but by institutional gravity: the UFC Performance Institute, the world's most advanced MMA athlete-development facility, is headquartered here, and the fighter ecosystem it anchors has attracted a density of elite practitioners that rivals markets three times the size. The headline academy is Zenith BJJ Las Vegas, founded in 2012 by Robert Drysdale — a 4th-degree black belt under Léo Vieira, retired MMA fighter (7-0), and the 2007 ADCC absolute champion, one of the most prestigious submission grappling titles in the world. Drysdale's academy has been voted Best of Las Vegas three times and offers a full competition team alongside the standard adult, kids, and striking programs.
