About Una BJJ
Una BJJ, located at 100-33 Metropolitan Ave in Forest Hills, Queens, was founded in 2011. Co-head instructors Fred Villarica and Alonzo 'Zo' Rodriguez are both 3rd degree black belts under Alexandre 'Soca' Freitas (lineage: Carlos Gracie Jr > Soca > Fred/Alonzo). Additional black belt instructors include Kevin Enrile, Tom Altenburg, and Raheem 'Rock' Stevens. Jon Garcia is a Judo black belt and BJJ brown belt instructor. Programs include Gi BJJ, No-Gi, Kids BJJ (ages 4-15), Women's Only, Kickboxing, and Judo for BJJ. Open mats are held Saturday and Sunday.
