About Bourelle Martial Arts
Bourelle Martial Arts of Wilmington opened in late 2004 as the Wilmington Martial Arts Center, run out of owner Dan Bourelle's garage before moving through several locations and adopting the Bourelle name to match sister schools in Nebraska and Wyoming. It teaches Taekwon-Do, Hapkido and Gum-Do under the American Martial Arts Federation, alongside a Little Dragons children's class, women's self-defence and a weekday after-school programme. Master Dan Bourelle is a 6th-degree Hapkido black belt, 5th-degree Taekwon-Do black belt and 3rd-degree in Gum-Do, and also an ISSA-certified personal trainer; the first 20 minutes of every class is a conditioning block using bands, medicine balls, bags and targets.
