About School of Budo
School of Budo in North Portland (7506 N Chicago Ave) offers adult BJJ with classes Monday through Friday at noon. Head instructor Tim Cartmell is a two-time Pan American BJJ champion (brown and black belt) who received his black belt from Cleber Luciano (under Royler Gracie/Helio Gracie lineage). Advanced instructor Michael Selin (BJJ black belt under Cartmell, also holds black belts in Judo and Aikido) runs the daily Portland sessions. The gym also offers Aikido, Jodo, and Iaido under master instructor Jaff Raji.
