About Ignite Martial Arts Academy
Ignite Martial Arts Academy on Mark Rd E in Caloundra West teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts to kids and adults on the Sunshine Coast. Founded in 2004 by brothers Leigh and Ryan Dunstan, the academy runs BJJ for all ages alongside the 51 Elite MMA system, sends students to AFBJJ and junior MMA competitions, and hosts its own Ignite Challenger Series fight nights. Memberships are direct-debited weekly and come in Adults, Youth, Families, FIFO and Gym Only variants, all managed through the gym's booking app. The facility includes a strength and conditioning area, a recovery room with infrared sauna, ice bath and compression boots completed in May 2026, and a supervised kids play area.
