About Gracie Floripa Jurerê Internacional
Gracie Floripa traces its Florianópolis history to the 1990s, when Mestre Crolin Gracie — the 18th son of Brazilian jiu-jitsu's creator Carlos Gracie — moved to the island to spread the art, and founded the school after his 2004 world title. The Jurerê Internacional academy teaches Gracie jiu-jitsu with a self-defense focus: kids groups split by age (4-5, 6-10 and 11-14, 45 minutes each), adult fundamentals, an advanced class for white belts with three stripes and up, a women's self-defense class, plus Muay Thai fundamentals, advanced and women's classes.
