About Roots Jiu Jitsu Club
Roots Jiu Jitsu Club is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy on Joe Battle Blvd in East El Paso, Texas, running gi and no-gi programmes for kids and adults at all experience levels. The curriculum deliberately combines both styles - gi work for grip fighting, control and strategy, no-gi for wrestling, takedowns, clinch work and submissions that carry over to self-defense and MMA. It is a new academy and a stated affiliate of the Kenny Kim Academy; its kids classes ran no-gi through the first week of August so families could buy a gi without the up-front cost.
