About Leny Jiu Jitsu Academy
Leny Jiu Jitsu Academy is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu and submission grappling gym in San Antonio's Southtown, at 1407 S. St. Mary's Suite B, run by head coach and owner Ben Leny with his wife and co-owner Vanessa Leny. Ben is a black belt promoted by Diego Gamonal in 2017 who trained under Marcelo Salazar, coached at Brazilian Top Team for twelve years and has spent the past two years training at the Roka Training Facility under John Danaher; his record includes three IBJJF No-Gi World titles. Adult classes are 90 minutes for ages 15 and up with separate gi and no-gi beginner sessions, kids' classes are 60 minutes from age 4, and Saturday's open mat is open to all; special rates are offered to military, police officers and firefighters.
