About Bernales Institute of Martial Arts
The Bernales Institute of Martial Arts (BIMA) is a multi-discipline school in Salt Lake City, Utah, founded and led by Will Bernales. It teaches Gracie/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in gi and no-gi, Combat Submission Wrestling and MMA, Muay Thai, Kali (Filipino martial arts), Jeet Kune Do, Wing Chun and Silat, with a women-only jiu-jitsu class, competition training and a graded youth program running Tiny Tigers, Junior Dragons, Dragons, Black Belt Club and Teens. The BJJ program is an official affiliate of the Pedro Sauer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association, and the curriculum is built around practical self-defense rather than points scoring.
