It is taught by Seth Shamp, a 3rd-degree black belt with over twenty years of training who took his purple, brown and black belts from Royce Gracie, previously owned Triangle Jiu Jitsu Academy in Durham, North Carolina for ten years representing Team Royce Gracie, and taught in Duke University's physical education department for a decade, earning coach of the year honours in 2017.
