About Warrior Martial Arts

Warrior Martial Arts in Virginia Beach is led by Grandmaster Barry L. Jenkins Sr. and teaches Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Tracy's Kenpo, Jeet Kune Do and Wing Chun with an explicit street-self-defence rather than competition focus. Its BJJ program is a certified academy under Rickson Gracie's Jiu-Jitsu Global Federation and teaches that curriculum; children train BJJ from age 5-11 and Kenpo from 8-12. The school runs a free two-hour women's basic self-defence class every month and a four-session Essentials of Self Defense course.
