About MX Gym
MX Gym at 2431 Elmira Ave in Superior, Wisconsin is a non-profit gym built around Muay Thai, with the stated aim of making training accessible regardless of income or ability. Alongside Muay Thai it runs Western Fencing — Italian Renaissance sword work in the HEMA tradition, taught primarily with the Bolognese side sword — a Morning Conditioning cardio class, and massage services. Head martial arts instructor Ajarn Justin Markus has 36 years teaching combat sports, travels to Thailand annually for advanced Muay Thai education, holds a Master of Science in Education and coaches the gym's fight team. The first class is free.
