About 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Decatur
10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Decatur in Alabama was the first 10th Planet academy in the south-eastern United States and says it has been voted the number one academy in the whole 10th Planet organisation. It teaches Eddie Bravo's no-gi system — built on the clinch, underhooks and control rather than gi grips — to adults and children, with adult classes at 6 am, noon and evening most days, each followed by a "Jiu Jitsu Rounds" live-rolling block, and kids classes twice a week. Head coach Brandon McCaghren is the instructor students single out for his attention to detail and pressure game. The academy no longer runs a traditional MMA class, positioning its programme instead as ground-fighting training for MMA competitors.
