The Eyrie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Tucson, AZ is part of Paragon Arizona together with its sister gym Daimyo Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, both representing Paragon Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu of Ventura, CA under multiple-time world champion Professor Ricardo "Franjinha" Miller; members can train at both Tucson gyms and the wider team has over 20 black belts. Alongside jiu-jitsu it runs a Muay Thai program. Owner and head instructor Phillip Aguilar is a 3rd degree black belt under Franjinha Miller, born and raised in Tucson, who came to BJJ after playing baseball at Tucson High School, had a successful professional MMA career with every win by submission, and holds two bachelor's degrees from Northern Arizona University. His titles include 2019 IBJJF Phoenix Open champion, 2020 Last Warrior Standing black belt no-gi champion, 2022 AZBJJL black belt state champion and 2025 AZBJJL Arizona International Open black belt champion.
