About ROCHA BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU
Rocha Brazilian Jiu Jitsu launched in December 2023, when head instructor Alexandre Rocha began teaching private lessons in the home of co-owner Matt McAlister; it is now a gym off East McCain Boulevard in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Rocha is a first-degree black belt from Aracaju, Sergipe, Brazil with 15 years of Muay Thai and 13 years of jiu-jitsu behind him, promoted from white to black belt under Júnior Soares and Marcelo Conceição. The academy runs gi and no-gi BJJ for kids 4-14 and adults 15+, Muay Thai for 15 and up, women's self-defence from age 12, a midday competition class and a Friday open mat, under the motto 'It's normal, my champion'.
