About Royce Gracie Academy of Fresno
Royce Gracie Academy of Fresno is, by its own account, the only certified Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu academy serving Fresno and Clovis, and has been teaching in the area for over 25 years. It runs the Royce360 curriculum in three age bands — Pee Wee for ages 3-7, Kids for 8-13 and Adults for 14+ — taught around five pillars: striking and counter-striking, throws and takedowns, standing self-defence, grappling, and philosophy and mindset. Founder and head instructor Tosh Cook is a black belt under Royce Gracie who began training in 1997 at the original Gracie Academy in Torrance, competed professionally in WEC, IFC, KOTC and Gladiator Challenge, and trains law enforcement and military personnel.
