BJJ in Penryn

Penryn is a Placer County town in the Sierra foothills northeast of Sacramento, represented here by **MatTime** — a premier combat sports gym founded in 2016 offering Adult No-Gi Jiu Jitsu, Kids/Teens No-Gi Jiu Jitsu (ages 5–15+), Little Kids Wrestling (5–8), High School Wrestling, and MMA / Boxing (10+). The hybrid wrestling + Jiu Jitsu approach is led by head BJJ instructor Mark Kamizaki, a Cassio Werneck black belt and World Championships competitor with a decade-plus of teaching experience, with MMA striking under Parviz "Rauf" Takhirov (Master of Sports of International Class in Boxing, BJJ purple belt, 12+ years training UFC, Bellator and ACA athletes). The Werneck connection threads MatTime back to the Sacramento academy where Kamizaki also teaches the adult No-Gi program.
