BJJ in Poway

Poway is home to San Diego Judo and Jiu Jitsu — an unusual setup that prioritizes Judo alongside BJJ. Most US BJJ gyms don't formally integrate Judo; Poway's academy is one of the few local options if you want to train takedowns with real emphasis. For more pure-BJJ options, Escondido (15 minutes north) and Mira Mesa / Rancho Peñasquitos (15 minutes south) broaden the choices significantly. Poway's location in the inland North County corridor makes all of those reasonable commutes.
