About Self Defense Academy Colorado Springs
Self Defense Academy Colorado Springs teaches jujutsu strictly for street self-defense in downtown Colorado Springs, following the Valente Brothers method, with classes graded from beginner to advanced for youth and adults and a Bullyproof-style youth program built around the 753 Code. Founder and head instructor Flip Awesome Aguilera has coached clients of all ages since 2002; a University of Miami sports coaching alumnus, he is an NSCA certified personal trainer, a Precision Nutrition health coach and a licensed Chek holistic lifestyle coach, and came to jujutsu in 2019 before moving to Colorado Springs and founding the school with the encouragement of the Valente Brothers, whose Miami academy inspired it.
