About Gracie Barra Jacksonville
Gracie Barra Jacksonville, established 2008 at 8210 Cypress Plaza Dr, was the first Gracie Barra school in North Florida and is the flagship of a two-academy group with GB St Johns. It runs the full Gracie Barra curriculum — GBK0/GBK1/GBK2 for ages 3-14, GB1 fundamentals and GB2 intermediate for adults, and the GBF women's programme — plus MMA, kickboxing and wrestling, with gi and no-gi options through the week and adult open mat on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Head instructor Prof Roberto Cuartero III is a 4th-degree black belt and former US Marine who trained under Prof Flavio Almeida at Gracie Barra HQ and has coached more than 100 amateur and professional fighters across the UFC, Bellator and PFL.
