About LionsHeart Martial Arts
LionsHeart Martial Arts on East Bay Street in downtown Jacksonville teaches Shōbu Aikijūjutsu — a traditional system blending striking, throws and joint locks — alongside a kids class, a karate competition team, an Adaptive Warriors class for students with disabilities, and ProtectHER, a free women's self-defense course focused on preventing and defending against sexual assault. It is led by chief instructor Austin Bollinger, a world champion competitor with 23 years in martial arts and nominations to the United States and International Martial Arts Halls of Fame, and it runs open mat every training night.
