About Ludus Martial Arts LLC
Ludus Martial Arts is a mixed martial arts gym on Beach Blvd serving the Jacksonville beaches, which bills itself as Jacksonville's only dedicated MMA gym. It teaches gi and no-gi Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, wrestling, judo, strength and conditioning and general MMA classes for fitness-minded adults, kids, families and competing fighters, and won the 2015 Best of the Beaches MMA Award. Owner and head coach Billy Mitchell, a BJJ black belt and Black Prajied in Muay Thai who has been training since 1993, leads a sixteen-strong staff that includes IBJJF 3rd-degree black belt and former world number one Abraao Amorim, head MMA coach Preston Parsons, and dedicated judo, wrestling and boxing coaches. Newcomers get a free one-day pass.
