About Valente Brothers Jiu-Jitsu
Valente Brothers Jiu-Jitsu is a world-renowned self-defense-oriented BJJ school headquartered at 16360 NE 26th Ave, North Miami Beach, FL 33160. Founded by brothers Pedro, Guilherme (Gui), and Joaquim Valente, all black belts under Grandmaster Helio Gracie, trained by their father Dr. Pedro Valente Sr. who trained with Helio Gracie for decades. The school emphasizes the original philosophy and technique of jiu-jitsu as passed down by Helio Gracie. Programs include adults self-defense, women's program, and youth program. All three brothers teach daily at the headquarters. Affiliated locations in Pembroke Pines and Coral Gables are independently operated by VB black belt professors. Famous students include Gisele Bundchen and Ivanka Trump. The school has been working with South Florida law enforcement since 1995. Founded approximately 1994 (30th anniversary celebrated in 2024).
