BJJ Gyms in Georgia

Georgia's BJJ scene is concentrated heavily in the Atlanta metro, with Marietta, Decatur, and the north Fulton corridor (Sandy Springs, Roswell, Alpharetta) holding the strongest density. The headline lineage is Alliance Jiu-Jitsu — Romero "Jacare" Cavalcanti's network has anchored Atlanta BJJ since the early days of the US scene, with Beto Borges credited as the first Brazilian black belt based in the US. Multiple Alliance affiliates run across the metro.

The second major chain is the Carlson Gracie / Murilo Bustamante / Roan "Jucao" Carneiro family, powering ATT Atlanta, Superfly BJJ, Buckhead MMA, and Team Octopus / Roberto Traven's multi-location operation. Add Gracie Barra, X3 Sports (a 5-location chain under Tony Tucci), and several independents — Atlanta has unusual depth and chain consolidation for a Southern BJJ market.
