About Southwick Black Belt Academy

Southwick Black Belt Academy is a family-owned school in Ammon, Idaho, serving the Idaho Falls area, founded by Scott and Tia Southwick. It teaches Kung Fu, Taekwondo, grappling, Tai Chi and Gumdo across four age bands: Little Dragons Kung Fu (3-6), Junior Taekwondo (7-12), teens (13-17) and adults (18+), with a leadership team, monthly seminars, private lessons and birthday parties. Scott Southwick, an Air Force veteran who has trained since the age of eight, is an 8th-degree black belt promoted to Grandmaster in May 2025 and is the founder of Yong Kwon Tae Kwon Do under the Uchido umbrella.
