About Legacy Mixed Martial Arts
Legacy Mixed Martial Arts at 9500 Collinsville Rd in Collinsville, IL is a structured teaching academy running adult Brazilian jiu-jitsu, MMA, striking and a beginner foundations track, built around five pillars: wrestling control, tactical striking, clinch and wall pressure, dominant top control, and transitions between phases. Head instructor Jordan Dowdy is a 14-fight professional MMA veteran with three Bellator bouts and a first-degree BJJ black belt under Nick Sanders and Junior Silva, a former brown belt world champion and IBJJF Pan and No-Gi Pan champion who grew up in Collinsville and opened the gym to bring high-level training home. He is joined by Aaron Brown, training since 2005 across wrestling, BJJ, Muay Thai, kickboxing and boxing, and black belt Dylan Dalton, all three of whom came up together at the now-closed CMMA.
