About Andover Jiu Jitsu
Andover Jiu Jitsu was opened in 2024 by Chris Haines and his family after they relocated to Butler County, Kansas, and serves Andover, Augusta, El Dorado, Benton, Towanda, Rose Hill and Douglass alongside the greater Wichita area. Haines began training in 2006-2007, co-founded BeatDownBoys LLC in 2007 and the BDB Training Center in 2010 - trading as Wichita Jiu Jitsu Club - and went on to open Newton Jiu Jitsu in 2015 and help establish Kingman Martial Arts in 2022, where he remains head black belt. He earned his brown belt in 2016 after training at the Ribeiro brothers' University of Jiu Jitsu in San Diego, and received his black belt from Rafael Lovato Jr. in 2020, the same year Wichita Jiu Jitsu Club was named Lovato Jiu Jitsu Association Academy of the Year. The academy focuses on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction, self-defense and family-friendly classes.
