Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Louisville says it is the only Certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Training Center in Kentucky, teaching the standardised Gracie University curriculum from a 3,000 sq ft mat space at 3600 Chamberlain Lane. Programmes are Gracie Combatives (the 36-technique beginner course for ages 15+, no competitive sparring), Master Cycle for graduates, Women Empowered self-defense, and the Bullyproof youth track split into Mat Munchkins (3-5), Little Champs (5-8), Jr. Combatives (9-12) and Gracie Teens (13-15), plus invitation-only Black Belt Club and Reflex Development classes. Founder and head instructor Allan Manganello is a 4th-degree black belt who trained with Rickson Gracie and Pedro Sauer, received his black belt from Sauer in 2006, and is a retired Louisville Metro police officer with 21 years of service.
