About Kimm's Institute of Self-Defense
Kimm's Institute of Self-Defense is a traditional Korean martial arts dojang in Baton Rouge, opened in 1970 by Dr. He-Young Kimm — a Korean martial arts historian, the founder of Han Mu Do and president of the World Han Mu Do Association, who is also a grandmaster of Hapkido, Kuk Sool, Taekwondo and judo. Han Mu Do is the school's core curriculum, taught by chief master instructor Will Wilson, a 7th-degree black belt who began training there aged seven in 1992 and has taught since he was 13, alongside 5th-dan Gerard Fontenelle and 4th-dan Eric Montgomery. Membership pricing is published in full, with discounted rates for LSU students, law enforcement and active military, and a free week trial.
