About Clinch Academy

Clinch Academy on Highland Street in Frederick, Maryland teaches Brazilian jiu-jitsu, MMA, Krav Maga, fitness kickboxing and self-defence, framed around the idea that everyone needs to learn to engage life's challenges rather than that everyone should become a fighter. Owner and head BJJ instructor Luke Rinehart is a 5th-degree black belt who has trained since 1983; the MMA programme is led by 11-time UFC veteran Matthew Semelsberger and striking by Sergey Shishov, with over 30 years' experience. Classes run from Lil Warriors BJJ for ages 4-6 up through youth, adult combatives and accelerated BJJ, no-gi grappling, an invite-only MMA fight team, and open mats most days of the week.
