Octō Alliance Combat Sports is a veteran-owned Thai boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense academy at 3555 68th St SE in Caledonia, MI, running classes seven days a week in Muay Thai, gi and no-gi BJJ, wrestling and mobility, plus private lessons and three weekly open mats. Its Muay Thai lineage runs to Grand Master Chai Sirisute of the World Thai Boxing Association and its BJJ lineage to Professor Ricardo 'Rey' Diogo. Owner, operator and lead instructor Kru Rex Terpstra is a BJJ brown belt and WTBA certified Muay Thai instructor who served in the 3rd Ranger Battalion / 75th Ranger Regiment from 2001 to 2006 and has trained in Thailand; the academy also has a weight room and on-site shower for students, and membership carries no contract.
