About Daniel Gracie Grand Rapids
Daniel Gracie Grand Rapids at 351 Summer Ave NW is one of three Daniel Gracie Team Michigan academies, alongside Holland and a Kalamazoo location listed as coming soon. It teaches Brazilian jiu-jitsu, MMA striking built on Muay Thai's art of eight limbs, and a kids BJJ programme, catering from novices to professional fighters. Head instructor Professor Cody Hier learned the art directly from Daniel Gracie -- a sixth-degree black belt and two-time BJJ world champion who trained under Carlinhos Gracie at Gracie Barra in Brazil -- and brings a competition record in wrestling, BJJ and MMA; he teaches alongside Miguel Diaz Jr.
